The company LAVAL HOTELS is a general partnership with a capital of 18,000 euros registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 399.320.571, with its head office located at 16 rue Tholozé (75018) PARIS –– email: rgpd@hotelslitteraires.fr (hereinafter the “Company”).
The Hotel is part of the Literary Hotels collection, managed by the Société des Hôtels Littéraires (a simplified joint-stock company registered with the Clermont-Ferrand Trade and Companies Register under number 392 425 658, with its head office located at 16, place Delille 63000 CLERMONT-FERRAND, hereinafter the “Société des Hôtels Littéraires”).
These hotels are each driven by the desire to offer their guests a journey into the universe of a great French author:

The Hôtel Littéraire le Swann, located in Paris,

The hotels listed above are operated by independent companies, except for the Hôtel Littéraire Alexandre Vialatte in CLERMONT-FERRAND, which is directly operated by the Société des Hôtels Littéraires.
The Company thus processes the personal data of its clientele and users who make inquiries with it and is also likely to transmit all or part of this data to the Société des Hôtels Littéraires as part of its role as the collection's manager. The conditions of this transfer are described by this Privacy Policy.
The Company may also receive and process personal data transmitted by the Société des Hôtels Littéraires for any user or client request or inquiry related to the Hotel.
The Company is committed to complying with the provisions of Law 78-17 Informatique et Libertés of January 6, 1978, as amended, and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) or “GDPR,” and to taking any necessary precautions to preserve the security of the personal information entrusted to it.
Personal data may be collected on various occasions, notably:
Hotel Activities:

Stay at the Hotel and services offered during the stay;
Consumption at the Hotel's bar or restaurant during a stay;

Subscription to newsletters or any other occasional or regular communication service to receive offers and promotions by email or any other means of communication.
Participation in contests.
Furthermore, the hotels in the Literary Hotels collection are affiliated with the Best Western brand, which administers several hotel stay reservation channels under its own privacy policy. Consequently, Best Western may transmit some of the personal data collected at reservation for the purpose of performing the hotel contract. The collection and transmission of this data by Best Western, to the Company and/or the Société des Hôtels Littéraires, is subject to Best Western's privacy policy. Once the reservation data is integrated into the Company's file, the Company undertakes to apply this Privacy Policy to it.
The data collected by the Company is as follows:
Contact details (such as name, first name, phone number, email);
Personal information (such as date of birth, nationality);
Information about children (such as first name, date of birth, age);
Bank details (such as credit card number, for transaction and reservation purposes);
Information on identity documents (such as identity card, passport, or driver's license);
Check-in and check-out dates for a hotel stay;
Preferences and interests (such as smoking or non-smoking room, preferred floor, type of bedding, etc.);
Questions/comments from the user during or after a stay at the Hotel;
Technical and location information generated in the context of using the Hotel's website.
The collection of information about persons under 16 is limited to their names, nationality, and date of birth, which can only be provided to us by an adult. We thank users for ensuring that their children do not transmit any personal data to us without their authorization (notably via the Internet). Should such transmission occur, you can contact the Company at the email address rgpd@hotelslitteraires.fr to have this information deleted.
Right of access, rectification, restriction, and erasure:
The user may at any time exercise their right of access, rectification, erasure, or objection concerning the information they provide when registering or subsequently, with the Company by mail at the address: HOTEL LITTERAIRE MARCEL AYME 16 rue Tholozé (75018) PARIS or by email at the address rgpd@hotelslitteraires.fr.
In particular, the user has the right to obtain information and access their personal data collected by the Company, subject to legal provisions.
They also have the right to rectify their data, have it erased, or restrict its processing, and specifically object to the processing of their data, in particular, object to data concerning them related to their stays, preferences, and satisfaction being shared between establishments in the Literary Hotels collection and/or with the Société des Hôtels Littéraires.
For any complaint regarding a user’s personal data, they must attach a copy of an identity document to their request to confirm that the personal data concerned is indeed theirs.

Secure payment operations by determining the level of fraud risk associated with each transaction. On this occasion, the Hotel may use the services provided by the designated provider by the Société des Hôtels Littéraires in risk prevention to refine its analysis. Depending on the analysis results, the Hotel may take security measures, especially asking the client to use another reservation channel or another payment method. These measures will result in the suspension of reservation execution or, if the analysis result does not ensure order security, its cancellation. Data transfer outside the European Union:
The hotel reservation software operated by D-edge and used by our Company is hosted in the United Kingdom.
As part of the trade and cooperation agreement concluded on December 24, 2020, the United Kingdom and the European Union agreed that the GDPR will remain temporarily applicable in the United Kingdom for an additional maximum period of six months. The transfer of our clients' personal data for subcontracting by D-edge is therefore subject to our Privacy Policy, which will be adapted at the end of the aforementioned transitional period.
